Social Deafblind Communicator Guide Scheme
The Deafblind Unit co-ordinates this scheme with the aid of a Community Fund grant.

There are two communicator guides and a co-ordinator of the scheme. The funding covers the cost of the guide and their travelling expenses.

We offer one-to-one regular social outings and visits for up to three hours with the aid of a qualified communicator guide. Get out and about with confidence.
This is a door-to-door service, and enables deafblind people to have the freedom to participate in activities and recreations of their own choice, whether a chat and a cup of tea in the home, help with reading, a walk in the park, a museum visit, or shopping and help with everyday living.
