Deafblind Unit – Garden and Conservatory
Our special Leeds in Bloom award winning garden for deafblind people is full of lovely scented flowers. Even in winter our members can sit in the warmth and comfort of the conservatory. The comfortable chairs, the raised beds and the pathways provide a peaceful and safe place to relax and enjoy this colourful oasis in the heart of the city.
The garden and conservatory became a reality at the instigation of deafblind people. They were successful in obtaining a grant from the Community Fund to develop the raised bed garden and conservatory. The garden continues to be maintained and funded by deafblind people.
