Royal National Institute for the Deaf (RNID)
RNID is a national charity representing deaf and hard-of-hearing people in the UK. As a membership charity, they aim to achieve a radically better quality of life for deaf and hard-of-hearing people. They do this through campaigning, funding research, providing information, training and awareness-raising courses, communication services, care services, equipment for deaf and hard-of-hearing people, training of interpreters, lipspeakers and speech-to-text operators, and running RNID Typetalk, which is the national telephone relay service for deaf and hard-of-hearing people.
