Coming by car

Approaching Centenary House southbound from A58 OR A61

Jct A61/A58 link road (Regent Street)
Follow signs for Motorways (M1, M62, M621) along A61.

A61 City Centre Loop Jct 10 (Regent Street)
Forward (signposted All Loop traffic).

A61 Leeds (City Centre Loop Jct 11 Eastgate)
At roundabout take 1st exit (signposted Motorways M1, M621).

A61 City Centre Loop Jct 12 (Quarry Hill)
At traffic signals forward and at next traffic signals forward.

A61 City Centre Loop Jct 13 (Crown Point)
At traffic signals forward.

A61 Crown Point Bridge
Cross bridge then take right hand lanes and at traffic signals forward taking right hand lanes (signposted York (A64), Selby (A63)

A64(M) Junction with A64
At traffic signals take left lane to join A64(M) (signposted Inner Ring Road, Skipton (A660)).

Continue forward, then merge onto Vicar Lane (signposted City Centre, Harrogate, Wetherby).

Turn right onto North Street.

Take next left into car park of Leeds Society for Deaf and Blind People.

Approaching Centenary House northbound on A64(M)

A64(M) Junction with A64:

At traffic signals take left lane to join A64(M) (signposted Inner Ring Road, Skipton (A660)).

Continue forward, then merge onto Vicar Lane (signposted City Centre, Harrogate, Wetherby).

Turn right onto North Street.

Take next left into car park of Leeds Society for Deaf and Blind People.

Approaching Centenary House southbound on A64(M)

Once going southwards on the Inner Ring Road – A64(M) (signposted A64(M) M1, York, Station):

Take exit which is on right hand side off Inner Ring Road – need to get into right-hand lane (signposted A58 Wetherby, Harrogate, Sheepscar, Meanwood).

Continue forward towards traffic lights, and then turn left on to North Street.

Take next left into car park of Leeds Society for Deaf and Blind People.

Approaching Centenary House from City Centre Loop Junction 7 (Merrion)

At City Centre Loop Junction 8 (Grand Theatre), follow road around to the left onto New Briggate.

Continue forward on to North Street and travel through one set of traffic lights.

Take next left into car park of Leeds Society for Deaf and Blind People.

Coming by train

We are 0.6 miles or 1 km away from Leeds Railway Station.

Coming by bus

Please catch any of these buses: 2, 3, 3A, 12, 13, 13A, 35, 46, 45, 47, 71 and ask to be dropped off as near to Leeds Chest Clinic/North Street as possible. Centenary House is the large red-brick building on the corner opposite the Chest Clinic.

Shire View

Coming by car

Shire View is situated opposite St Michael’s Church in Headingley close to the Original Oak pub. You take the narrow road next to the BT building and follow the road round as it twists right, left, then right again, before you arrive at the car park for Shire View.

Coming by train

The nearest railway station is Burley Park Railway Station which is about 0.6 miles or 0.9 km away.

Coming by bus

Shire View is serviced by buses from Leeds Bus Station or from Albion Street:

Bus Station, Stand 21 – numbers 28, 96, 96A, 97, 97A

Albion Street, Hard Rock Café – numbers 1, 95

Alight from the bus at St Michael’s Church. Cross the road at the controlled crossing and turn right. Pass the BT building, turn left up the narrow road and follow the white line up to Shire View.
